i'm not sure i get it

i've been seeing a lot about this twitter thing, but i'm not sure that i understand what/why/how. perhaps it's because i've got 3 IM's running every day, have my blog(s) and email(s), facebook, myspace, etc...that keep me in touch with everyone. do i really need another communication form? i see a lot of things going around as postings of twitter history, but is this really going to replace the things that i stay in touch with everyone with?

could this be our saving grace?

is it possible that the INTERNET could save the planet? with all this global warming talk, it's worth reading, at least. it's here

kids will be kids. but can they afford to be?

recently, there have been a slew of school districts that have searched and found pictures of their star scholars and athletes drinking underage. many of these sources have been facebook and myspace. these kids - high schoolers - have been suspended or kicked off the team or out of the school organizations

i'm posing this question:
how far is too far in terms of schools, and employers searching into your personal life? is it really fair game if it's posted on a personal site?

do potential customers really not matter?

i called microsoft to get some clarification on specific products that they offered. the lady i spoke with was very nice and helpful. she was bias (as i expected) but turned me off a bit when i asked how she compared to the competition and she started cutting other services down (by name). none the less, i asked her for her contact info as i usually have more questions as soon as i hang up the phone. she took my info and told me that she'd email me her info. it has been at least 3 weeks and i have yet to receive that email.

so, a week ago, i emailed the tech support line hoping someone would get back to me..... figuring potential sales would spark some action to respond. alas....no response yet. i wonder if i will ever get an email from them... i won't hold my breath.

saving time and money - because time is money

I've been using a pretty nifty tool lately. I was introduced to it a few months back by a customer and have been very happy with it ever since. It is called Yugma and has been saving me much time. I work in the customer service part of my company and have been having much more efficient contact with my customers - actually being able to SEE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

The sales team immediately picked up on this service too and have been demoing our product through Yugma as well. Shortly after we started using Yugma, the partnered with Skype and not long after that, they came out with a web-viewer option. Because they are cross platform, we're able to use Yugma with any and everyone.

If you are searching for a web collaboration tool to do desktop sharing or a tool to preform remote support - Yugma is your key. And with their prices about 75% cheaper than the big guys, your accounting department may grant you a gold star for this great find!
